This jacket is used to circulate a heating or cooling medium, such as steam, hot water, or cold water, to regulate the temperature of the fluid passing through the valve. The jacketed design helps to prevent the fluid from solidifying, crystallizing, or becoming too viscous, which could impede the flow or damage the valve components.

Here's how a jacketed ball valve generally works:
Valve Body: The valve body contains the main flow passage and the ball, which is the valve element that controls the flow. The ball has a hole (bore) through its center that can be aligned with the flow passage (open position) or turned perpendicular to it (closed position).
Jacket: The outer jacket surrounds the valve body. It has inlet and outlet connections for the circulation of the heating or cooling medium.
